Funeral Music

by notanotherblogger @ Friday, 11. Jan, 2008 - 13:35:58

There is a TOP 10 of Funeral Music, and here it is:-
1)Goodbye My Lover - James Blunt ( don't know it)
2)Angels - Robbie Williams ( not my cup of tea)
3)I've Had The Time Of My Life - Jennifer Warnes & Bill Medley ( a possibility for me)
4)Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Middler ( that was played at my fathers funeral, I doubt he'd even heard of it)
5)Pie Jesu - Requiem ( ? )
6) Candle In The Wind - Elton John ( some people like it)
7) Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton ( I must confess that I don't know this particular one from the guitar man)
8)With or Without You - U2 ( is there U2 fans kicking it then?)
9) Every Breath You Take - The Police ( I've always found this song a bit un-nerving, a bit stalker-ish even, and it's by The Police too, is that ironic, or moronic?)
10) Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers ( a good track, but more for a wedding than a funeral I would think)
So there is the top 10 funeral music tracks. No My Way by Frank Sinatra, maybe his fans are all dead already, old age I think?
It won't bother me what music they play at my funeral, because I'll be dead, and will not be able to hear it.
I'd just like to finnish by saying that there is FUN in funeral, so do remember that, and don't cry. I often wonder who are those that cry at funerals crying for? The dead? The loved ones of the dead? Themselves? Or just for show? Perhaps they believe that they are supposed to cry at funerals? I do not have the answer, what about YOU.
