There's no war today
The General's gone away
He said he couldn't stay
And that was yesterday.
The war did no good
Is that understood?
By all of those who should
Know better if they could?
Everybody is getting colder
Maybe it's just me getting older?
Are people getting bolder?
I'll give them the cold shoulder
Are we going in the right direction?
Do we need a slight correction?
The USA is having a Presidential election
Let us hope they make the correct selection
I'd vote for that Barrack Obama
I think he's a man who loves his Mamma
He won't make a crises out of a drama
Or put the globe in a state of trauma
A Black President may show dignity
Take the world out of the insanity
Show the world America has equality
Getting rid of racial hatred and animosity
An opportunity for Americans to demonstrate
That they no longer want to discriminate
The world awaits, as the voters get irate
The electronic voting they cannot operate.
In this land of ours we have a voting booth
And to identify yourself you must have proof
I've voted nearly every time, since my youth
If politicians could differentiate lies from truth
